Celebrating Real People, Real Talent and Real Success
Since our inception in 1996, Career Edge Organization has celebrated the achievements of participants in our three paid internship programs: Career Edge for recent graduates, Ability Edge for recent graduates with disabilities and Career Bridge for internationally qualified professionals.
Over the years, our awards ceremony has grown into a highly anticipated event in the business community. We have seen hundreds of nominations from interns and employers, eager to share their stories of success and gratitude.
Last year marked a milestone in the evolution of this event, when it was formally introduced as the annual “Achievement Awards,” a name that we believe captures the spirit of the night.
The theme of this year’s Awards Ceremony centres on talent. We are putting our people in the spotlight to showcase the highly skilled and diverse talent that are representative of Career Edge Organization interns and employers. Most importantly, we recognize the employers who have gone above and beyond in providing meaningful internship experiences that put such talent to work.
Every year, attendees find there is much more to the occasion than recognizing achievement. This year’s Achievement Awards will bring together hundreds of leaders in the business community as well as our Alumni and Interns, who represent the leaders of tomorrow. It’s a time to share, connect and celebrate.
This year, winners of Career Edge Organization’s Achievement Awards will receive original pieces of artwork purchased from Supplying Sponsor, Petroff Gallery. In recognizing Canadian talent, we are proud to also support these talented, local Canadian artists. Click here to see the Awards and read about the Gallery and Artists!
Program Awards
All program awards are determined by the total number of internships hosted by each employer in each category. The winner in each category will be the employer that hosted the most internships in the past year.

The Intern of the Year Awards recognize outstanding contribution and performance of an individual intern from each of our three paid internship programs:

Manulife Financial Intern of the Year Award – Career Bridge
Nominations are submitted by organizations that hosted the intern and winners will be determined by a team within Career Edge Organization.

Most Valued Internship Experience Award
This award recognizes a host organization that demonstrated leadership in providing a supportive environment, facilitated personal and professional growth, and promoted opportunities to allow interns to contribute to the organization thereby enhancing the internship experience.
