About the Award

The Most Valued Internship Experience ("MoVIE") Award recognizes a host organization that demonstrated leadership in providing a supportive environment, facilitated personal and professional growth, and promoted opportunities to allow interns to contribute to the organization thereby enhancing the internship experience.

This year, Interns, Coaches/Mentors or Hiring Managers participating in any of our three paid internship programs can nominate their own "host organizations" and a winner will be selected based on both content and creativity.

For this award, we will be considering how well the organization carried out the four building blocks of a Career Edge Organization paid internship:

Ongoing coaching
Knowledge-sharing about industry-specific norms and customs
Networking opportunities
On-the-job learning

 

Winner: OPS Internship for Internationally Trained Individuals, Ministry of the Environment

Career Bridge intern Sharath Somasundaram submitted a detailed and inspired video that he produced in order to convey the diversity of his workplace, the dedication of his coaches and the immense impact that the Ministry of the Environment has had on current Career Bridge interns as well as alumni who are now full-time employees.
